Abstract:
An object detection device equipped with: a first object detection means 501 that uses a prescribed prediction model to obtain, from a known first image for which the coordinates of a detection subject are known, a degree of certainty with respect to each detection region extracted from a plurality of positions in the first image; a parameter determination means 502 that, on the basis of the acquired degree of certainty, determines parameters that include a detection threshold value which is a threshold value with respect to the degree of certainty, said parameters being used when detecting the detection subject from a second image in which it is not known whether the detection subject exists; and a second object detection means 503 that, on the basis of the determined parameters, narrows down detection region candidates to be used as detection region extraction sources from the entire region of a second image, and then uses the prediction model to obtain a degree of certainty with respect to each detection region extracted from the narrowed-down detection region candidates, and detects the detection subject on the basis of the acquired degree of certainty.
