Title:
OBJECT DETECTION DEVICE, OBJECT DETECTION METHOD, AND PROGRAM
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2018/216349
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided are a device and method for using polarization to detect a transparent object and calculate the residual stress of the transparent object. The present invention is provided with a light projection unit for outputting at least three different types of polarized light, a light reception unit for receiving light of at least three different observed polarization angles, and a data processing unit. The data processing unit stores light reception signals from the light reception unit in a state where there is no transparent object on the optical path in the storage unit as reference values and determines whether there is a transparent object on the optical path by comparing the reception signals for the plurality of different observed polarization angles of the light received by the reception unit with the reference values. Further, if a determination is made that there is a transparent object on the optical path, the reception signals for the plurality of different observed polarization angles of the light received by the reception unit are used to calculate the residual stress of the transparent object.
