Abstract:
In the present invention, a moving body (30) is provided with a plurality of ultrasonic sensors (20) for transmitting search waves and receiving reflected search waves. An object detection device (10) is provided with an object detection unit (12) for detecting an object using direct waves that are reflected waves received by the same ultrasonic sensor that transmitted the original search wave and indirect waves that are reflected waves received by a different ultrasonic sensor from the one that transmitted the original search wave, and a temperature variation detection unit (11) for detecting the occurrence of temperature variation greater than or equal to a prescribed temperature variation in the ambient temperature of the object or detecting a prescribed temperature variation condition in which the temperature variation may occur. If the object detection unit detects the prescribed temperature variation condition using the temperature variation detection unit, the object detection unit carries out detection avoidance control that prevents the detection of the object using indirect waves or makes it difficult to detect the object using indirect waves.
