Abstract:
An object detection device (20) is connected to a control device via a communication line (14), supplied with electric power via the communication line, and applied to an object detection system in which a signal is superposed on a current flowing in the communication line and information is conveyed. The object detection device drives a piezoelectric vibrator (80) in a prescribed control cycle, transmits a probe wave, and receives a reflected wave that is reflected by an object. The object detection device is provided with a capacitor (44) connected in parallel to a drive circuit (30) for driving the piezoelectric vibrator, and a current control unit (70) for controlling the current value of the communication line after electric power is supplied to the drive circuit.
