Abstract:
An object detection device, provided with: a target information acquisition unit for acquiring information relating to an image target detected by an image acquisition unit and information relating to a radar target detected by a radar; and an object detector for detecting the presence of an object on the basis of whether or not the position of the image target and the position of the radar target are within a predetermined range. The object detector establishes whether or not the object is a pedestrian, and increases the size of the predetermined range in an instance in which it is established that the object is a pedestrian, so as to be larger than in an instance in which it is established that the object is not a pedestrian.
