Abstract:
This object detection device is attached at a predetermined height and is provided with: a waveform acquisition unit that acquires the reception time and peak value of a reflected wave; a reference value calculation unit that calculates the peak value of a reflected wave reflected by a reference obstacle (41, 41a, 41b, 41c, 41d) present at at least the predetermined height as a reference value; a detection value calculation unit that calculates the peak value of a reflected wave reflected by a detected object (42, 42a, 42b) as a detection value; a reference distance calculation unit that calculates the distance between the reference obstacle and a distance measurement sensor as a reference distance; a detection distance calculation unit that calculates the distance between the detected object and the distance detection sensor as a detection distance; a correction unit that corrects the reference value and the detection value in accordance with change in an attenuation amount that depends on the distance ratio of the reference distance and the detection distance; and a height calculation unit that calculates the height of the detected object relative to the predetermined height on the basis of the result of relative comparison of the corrected reference value and detection value.
