Abstract:
An object detection device according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: a first detection unit for executing object detection with respect to a first frame F1 in a video to thereby detect an object region A1 in which a person 20 is present within the first frame F1; a second detection unit for execution motion detection with respect to a second frame F2 following the first frame F1 to thereby acquire detection result information that includes a result of detecting motion inside and outside of the object region A1; and a unit for assessing whether or not an object region A2 in which the person 20 is present within the second frame F2 can be estimated on the basis of the object region A1 and the detection result information, controlling the first detection unit so as to not execute object detection with respect to the second frame F2 in cases in which the object region A2 can be estimated, and causing the first detection unit to execute object detection with respect to the second frame F2 and detect the object region A2 in cases in which the object region A2 cannot be estimated.
