Abstract:
This object detection system comprises: a plurality of imaging means which periodically output distance information; an object detection means which detects an object on the basis of the distance information output from the plurality of imaging means; an optical system which is for at least partially optically overlapping the measurable regions of the plurality imaging means with each other; and a control means which controls the timing of the output of the distance information by the plurality of imaging means such that the timing of the output is staggered.
