Abstract:
Provided is an object for insertion, comprising: a puncture needle main body (15a) which is formed in a hollow shape and further comprises an aperture (15b) at the leading end thereof, and at least the leading end portion of which is inserted into a subject; an optical fiber (14) which is disposed within a hollow part (15c) of the puncture needle main body (15a) along the lengthwise direction of the puncture needle main body (15a); and a photoacoustic emission unit (16) which is disposed at a light-emission end (14a) of the optical fiber (14), said light-emission end (14a) being positioned in the leading-end side of the puncture needle main body (15a), and said photoacoustic emission unit (16) absorbing the light which is emitted from the light-emission end (14a) and emitting photoacoustic waves. A through hole (15e) is formed in a wall part (15d) which forms the hollow part (15c). The photoacoustic emission unit (16) is anchored with respect to the through hole (15e).
