Abstract:
[PROBLEMS] To enable positional matching of images and accurately measure an object of a complicated shape even when the sampling interval by a range sensor is wide. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] An object measurement method includes a step (a) for measuring an object from a plurality of different directions by using a range sensor and generating dot group data including information on the distance to a measurement point of the object in the depth direction for each of the directions, a step (b) for processing the dot group data and concatenating a dot group in which a distance difference between adjacent dots in the depth direction is not smaller than a predetermined value, and detecting it as an edge, a step (c) for converting the edge to a characteristic line, and a step (d) for position-matching the dot data by using the detected characteristic line and outputting the geographic conversion of the object.
