Abstract:
A system, object and accompanying methods to encourage oral care for young children. The object is a toothbrush (201, 301) comprising of an object that can be inserted in the mouth of a child with a channel (102, 304, 405) lining the inside of the object that a child can sink their teeth (103, 302) into. The inner walls (104) comprising the lining of the object further have a plurality of protruding bristles (105, 303, 406). The object also has one or more pressure sensors (106, 306, 402) embedded within it. Once a child chews upon the object their teeth (103, 302) are cleaned and their gums are massaged. The biting action from chewing further causes the pressure sensors (106, 306, 402) to produce a signal that is used as an input for an electronic program.
