Abstract:
An object shape recognition method: expresses edge information, which represents edges of an object shape, by feature quantities which are invariant with respect to affine geometry; and establishes cutoffs, where the edges are segmented, on the basis of the values of the feature quantities. An object shape edge segmentation method is thus provided which is robust with respect to affine transformations.
