Abstract:
Disclosed is an objective lens for an endoscope, said objective lens being suitable for a small and high pixel density image pickup element and having a simple configuration. Also disclosed is the endoscope using the objective lens. The objective lens is configured by sequentially having, from the object side, a negative first lens (L1), a positive second lens (L2), an aperture stop (S), a positive third lens (L3), and a cemented lens (E45) having a positive fourth lens (L4) and a negative fifth lens (L5) bonded together. In the objective lens (1), the cemented lens (E45) satisfies the following conditional equations (1) and (2), where nn is the refractive index of the fifth lens (L5) with respect to the d line, νρ is the Abbe's number of the fourth lens (L4), and νn is the Abbe's number of the fifth lens (L5).
