Abstract:
The present invention has a lens-holding frame that has a simple structure while being small and having a small diameter and a wide angle of view, and flare arising because of light rays reflecting at the inner peripheral surface of the frame is prevented. An objective optical system (100) for an endoscope is provided with, in order from the object side: a brightness aperture (AS); a forward group (GF) that has a positive refractive power; and a rearward group (GR) that has a positive refractive power. The rearward group (GR) is formed by joining a simple lens (LP) having positive refractive power and a simple lens (LN) having negative refractive power, and the rearward group (GR) is joined to an imaging element. The junction surface (Sc) of the simple lenses (LP, LN) with each other has a positive refractive power.
