Abstract:
Provided is an observation device equipped with a phase contrast lens having a phase plate, with which the dimming of structured illuminating light by the phase plate is prevented, so that a subject can be illuminated appropriately with structured illuminating light. The device is provided with: a structured illumination unit (10) for emitting structured illuminating light; a phase contrast measurement illumination unit (20) for emitting phase contrast measurement illuminating light towards a subject positioning surface; a phase contrast lens (30) which has a phase plate (32) designed to dim phase contrast measurement illuminating light, and upon which the phase contrast measurement illuminating light is incident, and structured illuminating light is incident, via an optical system (14), from the side opposite the incidence surface of ring-shaped illumination; a detection unit (50) for detecting reflected structured illuminating light that has been reflected at the subject positioning surface; and an observation unit (40) for imaging the phase contrast measurement illuminating light that has passed through the phase contrast lens (30). During Fourier transformation of structured illuminating light by the optical system (14), the spatial frequency of the structured illuminating light is set to the high-frequency end or the low-frequency end with respect to the position of the phase plate (32) on the optical Fourier space.
