Abstract:
An observation device provided with a confocal optical system for measuring particles present in a focal plane within a sample liquid inside a sample container, a drive mechanism for driving the sample container and a portion of the confocal optical system so as to scan three-dimensionally within the sample liquid, and a control device for controlling the confocal optical system and drive mechanism and obtaining information about particles in a plurality of focal planes at a plurality of different times, wherein the control device obtains information expressing the change over time of the information about the particles in the plurality of focal planes.
