Title:
OBSERVATION DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2019/049837
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention acquires a detailed image of a specimen within a narrow space and is compatible with containers of various sizes. Provided is an observation device (1) comprising: an objective lens (7) disposed below a specimen container (3), the objective lens (7) collecting light from a specimen (S) via a bottom part (3a); a planar light source (9) disposed at the pupil position in the optical path of illumination light of the objective lens (7), the surface light source (9) causing the illumination light to be transmitted through the bottom part (3a) from below and impinge within the specimen container (3), and being configured such that a light-emission pattern pertaining to the light-emission position and light-emission range of the illumination light can be changed in a direction that intersects the emission light axis; an imaging optical system (11) that captures, from below the specimen container (3), an image of the light from the specimen (S) that was generated due to irradiation of the illumination light from the planar light source (9) and was collected by the objective lens (7); and a recording computation unit (23) that corrects the light-emission pattern of the planar light source (9) on the basis of at least one parameter from among the brightness, the contrast, and the relationship between pixel count and luminance in relation to the light-emission pattern of the planar light source (9) and to the image acquired by the imaging optical system (11) using the light-emission pattern.
