Abstract:
An observation device (10) is provided with: a modulation element (11) disposed on an optical path of illumination light applied to an observation object (12); and a modulation element (13) disposed on an optical path of observation light from the observation object (12). The modulation element (11) modulates the intensity distribution of the illumination light, and the observation object (12) modulates the intensity distribution of the observation light. The intensity transmittance distribution of the modulation element (11) decreases in a first direction, and the intensity transmittance distribution of the modulation element (13) increases in a second direction corresponding to the first direction.
