Abstract:
An obstacle detection device (300) is provided with: a candidate point calculation unit (35) for calculating an obstacle candidate point using a propagation distance of a search wave which was transmitted by a transmission distance sensor, from among distance sensors (21 to 24), has been reflected from an obstacle and has propagated to a reception distance sensor, the obstacle candidate point indicating a candidate of a position at which the search wave was reflected; and a map processing unit (36) for mapping a plurality of obstacle candidate points calculated by the candidate point calculation unit (35), on a two-dimensional map including a search area of the distance sensors (21 to 24), and evaluating a frequency distribution, thereby estimating an obstacle existence area in which the obstacle exists.
