Abstract:
An obstacle detection mechanism for a slide door, capable of reliably detecting an obstacle present in the direction of movement of the door to enhance the safety in opening and closing the door. An obstacle detection mechanism (1) for a slide door has a detection plate (10) which can advance and recede in the direction of movement of the slide door (2) moving parallel to the opening section of a container and which is provided to the front end of the slide door (2) in the direction of movement thereof, and the obstacle detection mechanism (1) detects an obstacle present in the direction of movement of the door (2) when the detection plate (10) recedes. A guide section (7) is provided in the vicinity of the front end of the door (2) in the direction of movement thereof, guide holes (8) are provided in the guide section (7), and support shafts (9) for supporting the detection plate (10) are movably inserted through the guide holes (8) in the guide section (7).
