Abstract:
This obstacle detection system (1) for detecting an obstacle under a double-track environment including adjacent first and second tracks is provided with: an external sensor (side monitoring camera (110)) that is installed in a first train (train (100) traveling on a track) traveling on the first track at an angle with respect to the advancing axis of the train and that includes the second track in the sensing region; an obstacle detection device (120) that detects the presence/absence of an obstacle on the second track by using sensor data of the side monitoring camera (110); and a communication unit (130) for causing transmission/reception of data or a signal between the obstacle detection device (120) and the outside.
