Abstract:
This obstruction determination device, which determines whether or not a three-dimensional object present in the direction of progress of the vehicle of the device is an obstacle that the vehicle should avoid, determines the three-dimensional object to be an obstacle by comparing the height of the three-dimensional object to a baseline height. Also, the baseline height is set on the basis of the relative positional relationship between the three-dimensional object and a demarcating line of the driving lane of the vehicle of the device, and when the demarcating line is between the three-dimensional object and the vehicle of the device, the baseline height is set in a manner so that the three-dimensional object is more apt to being determined to be an obstacle compared to when the demarcating line is not present between the three-dimensional object and the vehicle of the device.
