Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing an odor-adsorbing molded article resin composition which: deodorizes by exhibiting a strong adsorption effect against both an odorous organic material inherently contained in a packaging material and being superbly well-suited for production, and an odor produced by the degradation or the like of the resin constituting the package body when subjected to a disinfection/sterilization treatment such as UV irradiation, hot packs, boiling, γ-ray irradiation, EB irradiation and the like; is capable of efficiently adsorbing odor while making it unlikely that the adsorbed odor is subsequently desorbed, resulting in odor adsorption performance which does not decline; continues to exhibit a strong adsorption effect over the long term; and prevents a change in the odor and taste of the packaged contents in a superior manner. The present invention also addresses the problem of providing an odor-adsorbing molded article produced from the odor-adsorbing molded article resin composition. The odor-adsorbing molded article resin composition at least contains a thermoplastic resin A and an odor-adsorbing body, the odor-adsorbing body thereof contains a hydrophobic zeolite exhibiting an SiO2/Al2O3 mol ratio of 30/1 to 8,000/1, and the melt flow rate of the thermoplastic resin A is 5-100 g/minute, inclusive. The odor-adsorbing molded article is produced from the odor-adsorbing molded article resin composition.
