Abstract:
The present invention provides an odor-modulating oil that, when an everyday living environment, air that includes bad odors generated by industry, or the source of a bad odor is being mechanically treated, can modulate a bad odor into a different odor and thereby easily reduce the harm done by the bad odor. The present invention also provides a lubricating oil. An odor-modulating oil that contains an odor-modulating component and an oil component. The odor-modulating oil is characterized in that the odor-modulating component includes at least one oxygen-containing heterocyclic compound selected from among furan compounds and pyran compounds.
