Abstract:
The degrees of interference with OFDM received signals are estimated with high accuracy under various interference conditions. An OFDM receiver apparatus for receiving and demodulating OFDM signals, comprising a high-rate Fourier transforming part for transforming the received OFDM signals into OFDM signals of the frequency domain; a transmission path characteristic calculating part for determining, from the OFDM signals of the frequency domain, the transmission path characteristic for the carriers transmitting a pilot signal; an interpolating part for interpolating the transmission path characteristic to output a result; a power calculating part for calculating, as a carrier power, the square of the magnitude of the transmission path characteristic as interpolated, for each of the carriers corresponding to the transmission path characteristic; an interference calculating part for calculating, as an interference power, the degree of interference with the received OFDM signals for each of the carriers corresponding to the transmission path characteristic as interpolated; and a carrier quality calculating part for calculating, for each carrier, the ratio of the carrier power to the corresponding interference power.
