Title:
OFDM SIGNAL TRANSMISSION DEVICE AND OFDM SIGNAL PEAK POWER SUPPRESSION METHOD
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2006/049136
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
There is provided an OFDM signal transmission device capable of reducing the cost of a transmission power amplifier without requiring linearity of the transmission power amplifier of a significantly high characteristic. In this device, a power comparison unit (117) compares the OFDM symbol power detection value to a reference value to determine whether it is smaller than the reference value and generates a power comparison result. When the power comparison result indicates that the OFDM symbol power detection value is smaller than the reference value, a mapping control unit (118) causes a sub-carrier mapping unit (111) to continue mapping of the current digital data to the aforementioned sub-carrier. On the contrary, when the power comparison result indicates that the OFDM symbol power detection value is not smaller than the reference value, the mapping control unit (118) causes the sub-carrier mapping unit (111) to stop mapping of the current digital data to the aforementioned sub-carrier and allocate the current digital data to be allocated and the digital data after this allocation to the next OFDM symbol sub-carrier.
