Abstract:
The objective of the invention is to suppress the error of an estimated transmission path characteristic even if the frame length is relatively long. An OFDM transmission apparatus comprises: a subcarrier modulating unit that allocates both information data to be transmitted and pilot signals to a plurality of subcarriers included in an OFDM symbol, thereby generating the OFDM symbol; and a converting unit that converts the generated OFDM symbol to a time domain signal and outputs the time domain signal. The subcarrier modulating unit inserts the pilot signals in the respective ones of M subcarriers, which can be changed in accordance with the position of the data symbol in the frame, in the data symbol. The pilot signals are inserted in the respective subcarriers as described above for each of N consecutive data symbols including said data symbol.
