Abstract:
An offset printing method using ink-jet system comprises a first step of printing a UV ink image on a plane original plate by ink jet using a UV ink, a second step of applying UV or an electron beam during the printing of the UV ink image or immediately after the printing to bringing the UV ink image into a semi-dried state, a third step of transferring the UV ink image in the semi-dried state onto an elastic blanket surface, a fourth step of offset-printing the UV ink image transferred onto the elastic blanket onto an object to be printed, and a step of dry-fixing the offset-printed UV ink image. The viscosity of the UV ink at the first step is 3 to 100 mPaS at 30°C and that at the second step is equivalent to 0.1 to 300 PaS of the standard UV ink at 25°C. An object printed by the method is also provided.
