Abstract:
Provided are an oil gelling agent capable of forming a reverse thread-like micelle, which is highly safe to living organisms and the environment, shows a favorable texture in using and exhibits good gelling ability, and a thickened gel composition using this oil gelling agent.
A combination of lecithin with a saccharide acts as an oil gelling agent capable of forming reverse thread-like micelles of various oils, and a thickened gel composition having a reverse thread-like micelle structure can be obtained by using a three-component mixture system comprising lecithin, a saccharide and various oils. Thus, a good oil gelling agent, which is highly safe to the human body and the environment, has long-term stability and exhibits the performance required for an oil gelling agent, and a thickened gel composition, which contains the oil gelling agent and an oil component to form a reverse thread-like micelle structure, can be easily provided.
