Abstract:
Provided is an oil separator in which a case for accommodating a collision member can easily be detached from a body. The oil separator separates an airborne oil component from the air and recovers same by causing the air containing the oil component to collide with a filter (24). The oil separator is provided with an introduction opening for introducing air, a body (10) provided with a discharge opening for discharging air, a filter cartridge (20) attached to the body (10) and containing a filter (24), and a drain bowl (30) for collecting the separated oil component. In a spin-on structure, a first threaded portion (16a) formed on the body (10), and a second threaded portion (23a) formed on the filter cartridge (20) are threaded together. The body (10) and the filter cartridge (20) are thereby attached.
