Abstract:
An oil surface detection device that is mounted to a refrigerating air conditioner (1) and that detects the oil surface of oil that is stored within a compressor (21) that constitutes the refrigerating air conditioner (1) is provided with: an oil surface detection unit (70) that is provided to the outer surface of the compressor (21) and that detects the temperature of an installation location; a sensor output unit (35f) that outputs a signal that changes the operation state of the refrigerating air conditioner (1) to the refrigerating air conditioner (1); and a determination unit (35b) that determines the depletion of oil that is stored within the compressor (21) on the basis of a measurement value that is obtained by the oil surface detection unit (70) at least after the output of the signal that is output from the sensor output unit (35f).
