Abstract:
An objective of the present invention is to provide an oily smoke trapping device with which the transmission of noise generated by a fan into a room can be suppressed without reducing air intake/exhaust performance and cleanliness. This oily smoke trapping device 100 comprises a motor 30, a fan 20 that is attached to a motor rotary shaft 31 and that generates a flow of air, and a fan casing 10 in the interior of which the fan is contained. In this oily smoke trapping device 100, the fan casing has an intake opening 11 for drawing in air, an exhaust opening 12 for exhausting air, a communication opening 13 provided so as to face the intake opening, and is equipped with a noise-absorbing material 40 on the side opposite the intake opening, with the communication opening interposed therebetween. The communication opening spatially connects the fan and the noise-absorbing material, and the outer edge E of the communication opening is provided at the same position as the outer diameter L of the fan or on the inside of the outer diameter of the fan.
