The present invention relates to an olefin-based polymer which exhibits superior processability and superior adhesive properties, and which therefore can be desirably used as a hot-melt adhesive (HMA) or the like. The present invention also relates to a method for preparing the olefin-based polymer. The olefin-based polymer of the present invention has a polydispersity index (PDI, Mw/Mn) of 2 to 3, and a density of 0.85 to 0.88 g/cm3, and satisfies the relation of Tc - Tm > 0, where Tc (°C) is a crystallization temperature and Tm (°C) is a melting point.
