Title:
PROPYLENE/ALPHA-OLEFIN COPOLYMER AND APPLICATION THEREOF
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/146605
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention address the problem of providing: a propylene copolymer that is useful for providing toner having excellent offset resistance, that can be fixed by a low-temperature heating body, and generates little stickiness even when stored for a long period; and providing toner containing said propylene copolymer. The present invention pertains to a propylene/α-olefin copolymer (A) that is characterized by: containing 60 to 90 mol% of a propylene-derived structural unit (a), and 10 to 40 mol% of an α-olefin-derived structural unit having at least four carbons (b) [where (a) + (b) = 100 mol%]; and satisfying (i) to (iii) below. (i) The weight average molecular weight (Mw), as measured by gel permeation chromatography (GPC), ranges from 3,000 to 40,000. (ii) The melting point (Tm), as measured by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), ranges from 60 to 90°C. (iii) The half width of the crystalline melting point peak, as measured by DSC, ranges from 1 to 20°C.
