Abstract:

Disclosed is an oligomer remover for a polyester fiber material. The oligomer remover comprises a polyester copolymer which is produced by polycondensation of a dibasic acid component containing 15 to 65 mol% of a dibasic acid having a sulfonic acid base and a dihydric alcohol component containing a polyethylene glycol having a molecular weight of 900 to 3500, which has a melt viscosity of 5000 to 23000 mPa s at 200˚C and which has 10 to 40% by mass of a polyoxyethylene chain in the molecule. The oligomer remover can be added to a dye bath during the process for dying a fiber material comprising a polyester fiber material or a composite material made of a polyester fiber material and other fiber material. It becomes possible to overcome various problems caused by adhesion of a polyester oligomer.
