Abstract:
An oligonucleotide analog containing a nucleoside analog represented by the
following general formula (I): [Chemical formula 1] wherein R1 to
R4 independently represent each H or a group selected from optionally
substituted C1-4 alkyl, halogen, OH, C1-4 alkyl-OH, C1-4
alkyl-O-C1-4 alkyl, NH2, NO2, N(C1-4
alkyl)2, O-C1-4 alkyl, COOH, SH, SO3H, C1-5
acyl, C2-5 alkenyl, C2-5 alkynyl, C3-8 cycloalkyl,
C6-10 aryl and C7-10 aralkyl; a method of detecting a target
duplex DNA sequence in a sample by using the above oligonucleotide analog; a method
of forming a triplex with a target duplex DNA; and a medicinal composition containing
the above oligonucleotide analog.
