Abstract:
Provided are an onboard device and a communication system for vehicles. An onboard device for causing a signal to be transmitted from three or more transmission antennas arranged separately from each other on a vehicle, wherein the onboard device is provided with a transmission control unit for causing a signal to be simultaneously transmitted from two or more transmission antennas out of the three or more transmission antennas, and a change unit for successively changing a combination of transmission antennas so that at least one transmission antenna included among the two or more transmission antennas from which a signal is simultaneously transmitted by the transmission control unit, is different.
