Abstract:
The operating efficiency of an engine is improved by introducing compressed gas to a cylinder chamber at a good timing and by emitting the remaining gas within the cylinder chamber. A one-cycle engine (10) is provided with an introduction path (22) which is connected to a cylinder chamber (14) and which introduces compressed air to the cylinder chamber (14), an exhaust path (24) which is connected to the cylinder chamber (14) and which emits the remaining air within the cylinder chamber (14), and an opening/closing mechanism which opens/closes the introduction path (22) and the exhaust path (24) on the basis of the stroke. The opening/closing mechanism contains an introduction valve(26) for opening/closing the introduction path (22), and the introduction valve (26) is closed while the rotating angle of a crank shaft (20) connected to a piston (16) is 105 degrees or larger during a compressed air introduction stroke period.
