Abstract:

Perturbation elements (2a, 2b, 2c, 2d) are attached to the outer periphery of the body (1) of a patch antenna through microwave switches (3a, 3b, 3c, 3d). The microswitches (3c, 3d) are connected to feed lines (4) which are microstrip lines. To generate a dextrorotatory circularly polarized wave, the microwave switches (3a, 3c) are turned on and the microwave switches (3b, 3d) are turned off. To generate a levorotatory circularly polarized wave, the microswitches (3b, 3d) are turned on and the microswitches (3a, 3c) are turned off.
