Abstract:
Provided is a one-time mutual authentication system in which, when normal authentication fails, re-authentication is performed, and if the re-authentication is successful, a seed for the next normal authentication is set. When normal authentication fails, a client-side device generates, on the basis of a re-authentication seed, a re-authentication client-side one-time authenticator XC1(m-1) and next authentication client-side seeds for normal authentication and re-authentication, and transmits the same to a server device. If the server device successfully authenticates the re-authentication client-side one-time authenticator, the server device generates a re-authentication server-side one-time authenticator XS1(m-1) and next authentication server-side seeds for normal authentication and re-authentication, and transmits the same to the client-side device. If authentication of the re-authentication server-side one-time authenticator is successful in the client-side device, the status of the next normal authentication seed and the next re-authentication seed in both the client-side device and the server device are changed to an already-set status.
