Abstract:
In order to reduce the number of components and reduce the size in the radial direction, this stator support structure, which is for supporting the stator (7) of a torque converter on a stationary shaft (13), is equipped with an inner race (20) and a circular one-way plate (12). The inner race (20) is linked to the stationary shaft (13) so as to be incapable of relative rotation, and has multiple protrusions (23) on the outer circumferential surface. The circular one-way plate (12) is provided on the inner circumferential surface of the stator (7) so as to be incapable of relative rotation, and has multiple claws (31), which make contact with first end surfaces (23a) of the multiple protrusions (23) in the rotational direction and prevent relative rotation of the stator (7) and the inner race (20) when the stator (7) rotates in a first direction, and which deform elastically in the radial direction so as to ride over the multiple protrusions (23), thereby permitting relative rotation of the stator (7) and the inner race (20) when the stator (7) rotates in a second direction.
