Abstract:
The present invention relates to an online billiards game device and a method therefor. According to the present invention, an online billiards game method using an online billiards game device comprises the steps of: receiving, from a camera provided on the upper side of a billiard table, a captured image of billiard playing for the current shot of a user; extracting a moving path of a cue ball for the current shot by using the received captured image; determining whether the current shot has been scored through the extracted moving path of the cue ball; selecting a cue ball for the next shot of the user or a counterpart according to the determination result of the scoring; and outputting information on the selected cue ball. According to the present invention, a cue ball of a billiards game player is provided through selection, thereby enabling a billiards game to proceed even if there is only one player. In addition, if two or more players play a billiards game, the players can select a cue ball according to the players' mutual skill level, thereby enabling a billiards game to be enjoyed with interest even if there are differences in skill level among the players.
