Abstract:
Disclosed is an online monitoring method for optical fiber transmission time delay in an optical communication network, belonging to the technical field of optical fiber communications. On the basis of existing optical transmission devices, the present invention adds a dual-fiber to single-fiber transmission multiplexing device between a master station and a slave station, and adds a time delay online monitoring algorithm in time servers of the master station and the slave station, thereby achieving online monitoring of optical fiber transmission time delay. Time delay values of the master station device and the slave station device are detected, round-trip loop measurement is performed between the master station and the slave station, an optical fiber transmission link time delay value is repeatedly measured and statistically averaged, and an optical fiber transmission time delay value is calculated. The present method allows the measurement accuracy of the optical fiber time delay value between the master station and the slave station to be less than or equal to 1 ns, and, integrated with optical fiber time delay automatic locking and balancing/compensation technology, can control the optical fiber transmission time delay variation within the range of 1 ns/day - 10 ns/day. The present method can be widely applied to high-precision optical fiber time transmission and optical fiber time delay compensation.
