The present invention relates to a bottom bracket for a bicycle, and more particularly, to an open-type bottom bracket intended to improve a bottom bracket and coupling structures. According to the present invention, an open-type bottom bracket for a bicycle, comprises: an opening, which is formed by a left wall, a right wall, and a back wall; a sprocket, which is located in the inner side of said opening; bearing stays and crank arms, which are located on both outer sides of said open space; a crankshaft, which intersects the inner and outer sides of said opening and is coupled with said crank arms; and a bearing, which supports the rotation of said crankshaft and is interpolated into said bearing stays, wherein said left wall is coupled between one bearing stay and said sprocket, and said right wall is coupled to the other bearing stay.
