Abstract:

Disclosed are an Openflow communication method, a controller, a virtual switch, and a service gateway. The method comprises: receiving an action that needs to be moved sent by a service gateway; selecting a suitable virtual switch according to the action that needs to be moved and a network topology; delivering a flow table to the service gateway and the virtual switch separately, and establishing a first data channel between the service gateway and the virtual switch to forward a data packet; delivering a flow table with an expansion action to the virtual switch, so as to execute a related expansion action on the data packet; and sending the data packet on which the virtual switch has executed the related expansion action to a destination server. By means of the content disclosed above, in the present invention, when a processing capability on a service gateway is insufficient, some of data processing services can be moved from the service gateway to a virtual server for execution, thereby achieving a load balance between network elements in a system, improving the utilization rate and throughput of the system, and further improving the performance of the entire system.
