Abstract:
The present invention relates to an operating device and method for an energy storage device for a microgrid. To this end, an operating device according to an embodiment of the present invention: collects prediction data relating to a load, power generation, and an energy price for each time period and real-time operation information from a microgrid operating system; defines a minimum charge capacity of an energy storage device for each time period; creates charging and discharging schedules of the energy storage device for each time period to minimize an operation cost of a microgrid; determines an operation state of the energy storage device according to user setting information and the charging and discharging schedules; derives a command value of effective power to be output from the energy storage device; and controls an operation of the energy storage device according to the operation state and the command value of effective power.
