Abstract:
An operating device of a printer in which printing can be performed using a process plate in order to suppress an increase in loss paper due to water treatment of the process plate concurrently being performed appropriately; and an operating method of a printer. When water treatment is performed using the process plate, a plate cylinder to which the process plate is attached is brought into an off-state and rotated, water treatment is performed for a preset time and a continuous form is controlled to travel at a speed lower than the circumferential speed of the plate cylinder.
