Abstract:
An operating device of a printer in which printing can be performed using a processless
plate in order to suppress an increase in preparation time of the printer and an
increase in loss paper incident thereto by performing water treatment of the
processless plate easily and appropriately thereby lessening burden on an operator;
and an operating method of a printer. The operating device comprises a printing
block judging means for judging whether a printing block attached to the plate
cylinders (31b-34b) of a print unit section by plate change is a processless plate
or not, and a control means (9) for rotating the plate cylinders (31b-34b) at a
preset speed under an off-state of not touching a print sheet when the printing
block judging means judges that the printing block is a processless plate at plate
changing, and controlling to perform water treatment for a preset time.
