Abstract:
The present invention provides an operating device, an operating system, and a fluid brake that enhance the sense of immersion for an operator. An operating device 1 comprises: a rotary operating unit 10 that accepts a rotary operation; and a rotary shaft 11 which is attached to the rotary operating unit 10 and which rotates circumferentially with the rotation of the rotary operating unit 10. Additionally, the operating device 1 comprises: a fluid brake 130 which rotatably supports a rotary shaft 11 and which generates a load with a magnetorheological fluid against the rotation of the rotary shaft 11; and a control unit 15 that controls the viscosity of the magnetorheological fluid of the fluid brake 130 by means of magnetic field. Through the control of the viscosity of the magnetorheological fluid, the operator senses the load on the rotary operation of the rotary operating unit 10.
