Title:
OPERATING PEDAL DEVICE FOR VEHICLE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/125071
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
With respect to a hollow pedal arm structure formed by joining a pair of half-pieces, the objective of the present invention is to achieve a structure that is compact, lightweight and inexpensive, without limiting the degree of design freedom with respect to the front-back dimension (L) and the width dimension (D), and to prevent a deterioration in the appearance or an injury due to the joint part. A hollow pedal arm (16) is formed with a pair of half-pieces in the front-back direction of the vehicle, that is, a front-half piece (32) and a back-half piece (34), which are integrally joined by bringing their open sides face-to-face to assemble the half-pieces and thus form a hollow cylindrical shape; therefore, the joint part (the first welded part (W1)) is difficult to see from the driver's seat, so the appearance is improved, and it is possible to prevent the joint part from injuring the foot or the like. Furthermore, an output member (26) is linked to a linking part (44) of a link plate (24) that is integrally attached to the hollow pedal arm (16), thereby enabling a structure that is compact, lightweight and inexpensive, without limiting the degree of design freedom with respect to the front-back dimension (L) and the width dimension (D).
